About the Role:

Work with our clients in store to create flooring options for their homes. The role will see you use your high customer service and sales skills to consult clients as to the best options for them. Combine your interior flair with our high quality products, and be part of our friendly, supportive team. The hours are 8.30-5.00 Monday to Friday and 10-3 1 Saturday in 4.

Happy to discuss part time hours also

Skills and Experience:

•                Flooring retails sales and experience and ability

•                Attention to detail - able to measure accurately

•                Proven ability to build positive relationships with clients                    and other staff

•                Experience in working from building plans would be a                        plus

•                Self-motivated and driven to achieve

The successful candidate will be experienced in carpet and or vinyl laying, as well as strong customer service and be someone that takes pride in their work. You will work in both commercial and residential projects serving our customers and representing our brand. You will enjoy working in a friendly atmosphere and being a strong team player along with job satisfaction.

  • To inspect and as required repair existing substrates prior to installing flooring
  • As required remove furniture, uplift and dispose of existing flooring, underlay and smooth edge
  • Install all flooring products in accordance to both industry and manufacturers standards
  • Clean up prior to leaving clients homes including vacuuming carpet and removing all rubbish and tools
  • To have and adhere to a current OH&S policy
  • Report any concerns, accidents or damage to property must be reported immediately to the appropriate people
  • Must provide an excellent level of service throughout the installation process in presentation, conduct and respect for our customers and their homes
  • The ability to train other staff and help develop their skills.
  • To be considered:
  • Minimum of a restricted New Zealand licence
  • Clear criminal background
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Great customer service
  • Pass a pre-employment drug test
